Uses

The relief of chronic pain.

Nerve blocks are used as pain relief. This is achieved by interrupting the signals from a nerve. For temporary relief, an anaesthetic or steroid injection near the nerve can be used as a block. For longer relief and in severe cases, a neurolytic block can be used.
